Acerca de mí

Hi, I’m David De Maya Merras, a cybersecurity professional, security researcher, and the creator of Hardsoft Security.

My journey in technology started with networking and systems administration. Over time, my interest in understanding how systems work—and how they can be attacked and defended—led me to specialize in cybersecurity.

Today, I work in cybersecurity and have developed experience across both defensive and offensive security. My areas of interest include security operations, threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, penetration testing, red teaming, and security research.

I hold qualifications in Network Systems Administration and Microcomputer Systems and Networks, as well as a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity Management, Ethical Hacking and Offensive Security.

Through Hardsoft Security, I share technical articles, research, tools, guides, and practical cybersecurity knowledge. The project allows me to explore the areas of cybersecurity that interest me most and to share what I learn with the wider community.

My current focus is increasingly centered around Offensive Security and AI Security. I am particularly interested in how artificial intelligence is changing the cybersecurity landscape—from the use of AI in offensive operations to the new attack surfaces created by LLMs, AI agents, and AI-powered applications.

I am currently working on projects related to Offensive AI, security automation, and AI-powered cybersecurity.

Cybersecurity is constantly evolving, and that is exactly what keeps it interesting.

I enjoy researching, building, breaking, and understanding technology—and sharing that knowledge with others.
